KlikFakta.com – Pemimpin Korea Utara Kim Jong Un menyerukan peningkatan produksi hulu ledak nuklir dan memerintahkan pengembangan rudal balistik antarbenua (intercontinental ballistic missile/ICBM) baru untuk melawan Amerika Serikat dan Korea Selatan.

Dalam komentarnya pada pertemuan penting Partai Buruh yang berkuasa, Kim menuduh Washington dan Seoul sedang merencanakan usaha mengisolasi dan menahan Korea Utara. Dia menyebut itu merupakan usaha “tak tertandingi dalam sejarah manusia”.
Situasi itu, kata Kim, memancing Pyongyang untuk menggandakan kekuatan militer besar-besaran “untuk menjaga kedaulatan, keamanan, dan kepentingan dasar nasional kami untuk mengatasi gerakan militer berbahaya oleh AS dan pasukan musuh lainnya yang menargetkan kami,” seperti yang dilaporkan KCNA.
“Ini menyoroti betapa pentingnya dan perlunya memproduksi senjata nuklir taktis secara massal dan menyerukan peningkatan eksponensial persenjataan nuklir negara,” kata Kim.

Kim juga dilaporkan mengatakan Korea Utara berencana untuk segera meluncurkan satelit mata-mata militer pertamanya.
Laporan KCNA muncul setelah militer Korea Selatan mengatakan pihaknya mendeteksi rudal yang diluncurkan dari wilayah ibu kota Korea Utara sekitar pukul 02:50 waktu setempat pada hari Minggu (17:50 GMT pada hari Sabtu).
Kepala Staf Gabungan Korea Selatan mengatakan rudal itu menempuh jarak sekitar 400 km (250 mil) sebelum jatuh ke perairan antara Semenanjung Korea dan Jepang.
