klikFakta.com, JEPARA – Sejumlah titik di wilayah Kabupaten Jepara, Jawa Tengah masih kerap terjadi banjir. Meski tidak begitu parah, namun persoalan banjir tidak boleh dianggap enteng. Ternyata, salah satu alasan penyebab banjir adalah keberadaan sampah di aliran sungai.
Itu seperti yang terjadi di Desa Batukali Kecamatan Kalinyamatan, Jepara. Beberapa rumah warga terkena dampak banjir beberapa kali dalam beberapa terakhir ini. Kejadian pertama Jumat (30/12/2016), belasan rumah diterjang banjir akibat sampah menyumbat aliran sungai Setanjung. Kejadian berikutnya Jumat (6/1/2017), sampah dengan volume tinggi menumpuk. Sungai Setanjung pun peres.
Wilayah Batukali menjadi wilayah rawan banjir. Selain karena lokasinya berada di hilir dan menjadi tempat pembuangan air menuju SWD 1, kini pemicunya sampah kiriman dari hulu. Hujan deras yang mengguyur kota Ukir berpotensi meningkatkan volume air sungai dan sampah-sampah.
Petinggi Batukali Nur Arifin mengatakan, sebagai wilayah yang dilintasi hilir Sungai Setanjung, warga batu kali kerap kena imbas. ”Sungai Setanjung banyak menerima kiriman sampah. Sampah ini terlihat tak hanya pada musim hujan. Musim kemarau sampah pun sampah menumpuk di sungai,” katanya.
Nur Arifin mengatakan, pihaknya sudah mengajak warga desa lain yang dileati setanjung untuk membersihkan sampah. Namun, tak ada respon baik. Akibatnya, sampah sering menyumbat aliran sungai. ”Debit air selalu tinggi terutama saat musim hujan seperti ini,” ujarnya.
Di sisi lain, Nur Arifin melanjutkan, ujung sungai Setanjung terhubung dengan SWD II terjadi kerusakan parah. Pintu air juga mengalami kerusakan. Akibatnya, pembuangan air tak berjalan normal. Yang menjadi korban padi petani. Sebab, air terbuang ke area persawahan.
Salah satu warga Batukali, Nur Khamid mengatakan, lahan pertaniannya sudah dua kali terdampak luapan sungai sejak musim hujan tahun ini. Pertama, pertengan Desember 2016 lalu. Kedua, awal Januari lalu. ”Petama mau proses tanam. Karena tergenang akhirnya gak ga jadi. Seminggu kemudian saya tanami. Namun, seminggu setelahnya kembali tergenang,” katanya.
Sekitar 100 hektar sawah di Desa Batukali sempat tergenang banjir karena dampak luapan sungai Setanjung. Air juga menggenangi sekitar 150 hektar lahan pertanian di Desa Bandungrejo. Area persawahan dua desa tersebut berdampingan. [klikFakta.com/089]
