“Saat musim panen, produksi gabah di Jepara mencapai 251 ribu ton. Khusus untuk tahun ini, hingga bulan April mencapai 70 ribu ton. Jumlah ini masih memenuhi kebutuhan bahkan beras setiap tahunnya di Jepara,” kata Edy Supriyanta.
Dengan produksi yang surplus, kata Edy, maka membeli beras dari petani sendiri diharapkan semakin menyejahterakan para petani, meminimalkan mata rantai tengkulak, dan produksi beras di Jepara semakin meningkat.
“Untuk itu, ayo para ASN maupun masyarakat untuk membeli beras dari para petani lokal kita. Orak usah tuku beras soko luar kota. Jepara, uwes mencukupi,” ungkap pria asli Jepara ini.
Lebih lanjut Edy Supriyanta, menyampaikan di Jepara setidaknya ada 27 LPM yang tersebar di seluruh Kabupaten Jepara. Pihaknya meminta Dinas Ketahanan Pangan dan Pertanian (DKPP) untuk mengembangkan LPM agar ketahanan pangan di Jepara terus terjaga.
“Alhamdulillah tadi kita cek di LPM ini produksinya cukup bagus dan layak untuk dipasarkan, dan dikembangkan. Kita kinta DKPP untuk terus melakukan dorongan dan dukungan untuk pengembangan LPM ini,” jelas Edy.
Sementara itu, Petinggi Karanggondang Ali Ronzi meminta kepada Pj Bupati untuk membantu memperbaharui mesin selep padi yang terbaru. “Agar produksinya lebih baik, mohon dibantu mesin selep yang lebih baik lagi pak,” pinta petinggi.
