Tuduhan keji dan tidak berdasar dari seorang Wakil Menteri pemerintahan Joko Widodo kepada Partai Demokrat, kembali membuat Partai Demokrat mempertanyakan kesungguhan Wamendes ini membantu Presiden menangani pandemi covid-19.
Di saat situasi negara sedang genting dan darurat covid-19 dengan semakin banyaknya nyawa anak bangsa bergelimpangan karena kehabisan oksigen, kehabisan obat, kehabisan kamar perawatan di rumah sakit, maupun tidak mendapatkan penanganan layak selama isolasi mandiri, seorang Wakil Menteri di Kabinet Presiden Joko Widodo malah sibuk menebar fitnah kepada kami. Seharusnya sebagai salah satu pejabat penting di kabinet, Budi Arie Setiadi bisa memfokuskan tenaga, pikiran, dan waktunya untuk membantu memastikan penanganan covid-19 di Desa, Daerah Tertinggal, dan daerah Transmigraso, bisa berjalan dengan lebih baik.
Lebih baik tenaga, pikiran, dan waktu Wamendes Budi Arie Setiadi, misalnya, bisa digunakan untuk menyelesaikan masalah pencairan dana desa yang masih sangat rendah. Padahal, setiap daerah di pelosok Indonesia, termasuk Desa, sangat membutuhkan dukungan dana dalam menangani pandemi covid-19 ini. Janganlah kemudian, banyak rakyat kita di desa, yang meninggal karena tidak diketahui menderita covid-19 maupun tidak mendapatkan perawatan dan bantuan layak dari pemerintah ketika positif covid-19, karena salah satu Wakil Menteri-nya sibuk menyebar fitnah kepada kami.
Dalam poster yang diunggahnya, Wamendes Budi Arie Setiadi berusaha memfitnah Partai Demokrat dengan tulisan DE-MO-K-RA-T. Dengan menyebutkan “Pakai Tangan Adik-adik Mahasiswa Lagi Untuk Kepentingan Syahwat Berkuasanya”, ditambah tagar BongkarBiangRusuh, dan meletakkan kata Demokrat di bawahnya dalam poster/meme tersebut, sangat tegas dan jelas, Budi Arie Setiadi telah berusaha memfitnah Partai Demokrat sebagai biang rusuh dan menggunakan tangan adik-adik mahasiswa untuk kepentingan syahwat berkuasa.
Demokrat pun mempertanyakan, mengapa kemudian di tengah semakin memburuknya situasi Indonesia karena pandemi covid-19, fitnah dan hoax berupa tuduhan tak berdasar kepada Partai Demokrat semakin banyak dilancarkan oleh pendukung pemerintah, termasuk para pendengung, dan kali ini oleh seorang Wamendes. Mengapa kegagapan pemerintah menangani pandemi, kemudian mau dialihkan dengan terus-terusan memfitnah Partai Demokrat?
Kalau pola pikir seperti ini yang mendarah daging di para pendukung pemerintah, pantas saja jika nyawa rakyat tidak menjadi prioritas, karena pemerintah bisa hilang fokus, dan terkesan sibuk mengalihkan persoalan dan mencari kambing hitam.
Partai Demokrat sendiri saat ini sedang fokus membantu rakyat yang sedang kesulitan karena pandemi covid-19 dan belum terjangkau bantuan pemerintah. Bagaimana agar yang positif covid-19, bisa dibantu penyediaan oksigen, obat-obatan, maupun pengantaran ke rumah sakit menggunakan ambulan yang dimiliki oleh kader Partai Demokrat. Bagaimana agar yang isolasi mandiri, bisa mendapatkan bantuan obat dan kebutuhan harian secukupnya. Sangat disayangkan di tengah keseriusan kader-kader kami di seluruh Indonesia membantu rakyat, malah hoax dan fitnah yang kemudian ditebar oleh pemerintah dan pendukungnya.
Tidak ada yang lebih berharga dari nyawa manusia, seperti yang disampaikan Ketua Umum Partai Demokrat, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono. Inilah semangat yang dipegang teguh oleh kader Partai Demokrat di seluruh Indonesia.
Seharusnya, seluruh elemen Pemerintah bisa memiliki semangat yang sama, dan berfokus mencegah melonjaknya korban meninggal karena covid-19, daripada sibuk menebar hoax dan fitnah. Rakyat butuh aksi nyata, bukan pencitraan tak berguna apalagi janji-janji belaka.
