KlikFakta.com, KUDUS – Sungai Piji turut Desa Kesambi, Kecamatan Mejobo, Kudus, Jawa Tengah, kini dipenuhi dengan tumpukan sampah sepanjang kurang dari satu kilo meter terjadi di perbatasan Sungai Piji satu dan dua.
Tumpukan sampah tersebut disebabkan karena gorong-gorong sungai menuju Sungai Jeratun tidak terawat dan tidak memenuhi standar.
Dari pantauan media ini, aneka sampah yang bercampur menjadi satu di ujung Sungai Piji dan sungai Jeratun sudah terjadi penumpukan sampah hingga sepanjang kurang dari satu kilometer, tumpukan sampah tersebut merupakan kiriman sampah dari banjir yang terjadi selama musim hujan saat ini.
Kepala Desa Kesambi Mukhamad Masri mengatakan, terjadinya tumpukan sampah di sungai piji satu dan dua sudah sejak bulan Januari. Sebelumnya, sudah dilakukan pembersihan sampah di tempat tersebut.
“Bulan November lalu sudah dibersihkan. Tetapi kerena curah hujan yang tinggi pada awal tahun, sampah menumpuk kembali,” jelasnya saat ditemui awak media di Balai Desa, Rabu (24/2/2021).
Menurut dia, akibat dari tumpukan sampah yang terjadi setiap musim hujan, membuat keresahan tersendiri terhadap warga desa maupun para petani disamping kiri kanan sungai.
“Jika aliran sungai debitnya naik nantinya air akan mengaliri persawahan warga dan akhirnya tanaman warga akan membusuk lantaran tidak adanya resapan air,” ucap dia.
Untuk upaya dari Pemerintah Desa, pihaknya sudah menghubungi dinas terkait, baik secara pribadi maupun secara bersurat. Namun, upaya tersebut tidak ada respon dari dinas terkait.
Pihaknya juga meminta kepada dinas terkait baik PUPR Kabupaten maupun Provinsi dapat segera melakukan normalisasi sungai dan merekontruksi gorong-gorong sungai yang menjadi penyebab utama terjadinya tumpukan sampah akibat tak bisa mengalir.
“Upaya untuk pembersihan sungai sudah dilakukan oleh warga. Namun untuk skala sampah sebesar itu warga tidak mampu untuk mengangkat sampah dari sungai ke darat,” tandasnya.
Untuk mengangkat sampah, lanjut Masri, dibutuhkan alat berat guna mengatasi tumpukan sampah yang terjadi di dua titik pertemuan sungai piji dan jeratun.
