Sebuah rumah diduga menjadi lokasi subserver judi online di Desa/Kecamatan Bojongsari, Kabupaten Purbalingga digerebek pada Jumat, 19 Agustus 2022 malam.
Kapolda Jateng, Irjen Pol Ahmad Luthfi mengatakan lokasi judi online itu tersembunyi di belakang tempat usaha las. “Untuk saat ini, di Jawa Tengah, ini yang terbesar yang kami ungkap,” kata dia.
Enam pelaku berhasil diamankan. Masing-masing berperan sebagai operator, penghubung server, penyokong dana, hingga pemasaran.
Dari hasil penyelidikan, server judi online ini berpusat di Kamboja.
“Jadi ada satu tersangka yang pernah sekolah di Kamboja. Di sana dia belajar server di sana, pulang ke sini dia bikin slot untuk dihubungkan ke server di Kamboja,” kata dia.
Modus operandinya para tersangka menjual slot dengan sasaran rumah mewah.
Irjen Pol Ahmad Luthfi memperkirakan di wilayah Polda Jateng akan banyak muncul modus seperti ini.
Pihaknya masih melakukan pengembangan dan pendalaman untuk mencari apakah ada pelaku lain dan jaringan yang lebih luas.
“Saya sudah perintahkan direskrimum untuk membongkar semuanya,” pungkasnya.
