KlikFakta.com, JEPARA – Pemerintah Kabupaten (Pemkab) Jepara bakal menutup tambak udang di Karimunjawa, Jepara karena dapat merusak ekosistem laut.
Hal tersebut senada dengan Kepala Balai Taman Nasional (BTN) Karimunjawa Titi Sudaryanti yang mengkhawatirkan ekosistem perairan jika tambak udang terus dibiarkan.
Keberadaan tambak udang memiliki pipanisasi yang menjulur ke laut dan dapat merusak terumbu karang.
“Mereka mengikatnya ada yang di terumbu karang, ada yang mereka bikin pancang kayu begitu mengikatnya, ada yang mereka pasang ban bekas,” ungkap Titi saat audiensi di Command Centre, Jepara pada Rabu (15/3/2023).
Ia menerangkan para penambak ada yang mengambil air dari laut. Para penambak meyakini semakin panjang pipa terpasang di tengah laut, kualitas air akan semakin bagus.
“Jadi istilahnya mereka memasang pipa inlet. Ini sudah kami identifikasi besaran pipanya dari mulai dari 2 inci, 6 inci, 8 dan 10 inci,” terang Titi.
Titi juga membeberkan jika ada pipa yang menjulur ke laut sampai 700 meter. Setiap tambak kira-kira memiliki 4-5 pipa yang berukuran baik besar maupun kecil.
“Waktu kami ground check, kami hitung pipanya ada yang sampai 700 meter,” jelasnya.
Permasalahan lain dari tambak udang yakni para penambak membuat kolam penampung limbah yang kemudian mengalir ke laut.
Titi menjelaskan jika rata-rata limbah dari tambak udang berwarna pekat sehingga membawa kekhawatiran akan merusak ekosistem laut.
“Jadi mereka bikin kolam dekat dengan tambak mereka, diendapkan tapi kemudian tetap dialirkan ke perairan,” kata Titi.
Ia mengatakan ada penambak yang pengelolaan limbah menggunakan beberapa teknis, namun belum sesuai dengan Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah (IPAL).
“Jadi mereka kasih ijuk dan kapur, berusaha menyaringnya dan masuk ke perairan,” katanya.
